Are you ready to learn, play, and build friendships? We are excited to invite students in Grades 3–8 to join the Saturday Chess Club at Bethel!

A Message from Your Facilitator: “Hello! This is John Nail. As a former principal and teacher at St. Paul’s, I ran a chess club there for over 10 years. I will monitor the games and assist in disputes.

The children learn from each other as they compete. I usually set games at 15–20 minutes and then change players. If we have an odd number of players, I will gladly step in and play a child. All equipment is provided!

We will require quiet play during matches, with talking allowed between games. We will also have a snack break (usually a homemade cookie!).”

• When: Most Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
